7 Poor fusing

• Is paper of the specified grade being used?

• No Use paper of the specified grade.

• No Replace the spring.

Fig. 6-4

• No Adjust the contact of the fusing unit assy to make a proper contact with the

contact assembly.

Note:

After replacing the fusing unit assy, set the printer in the engine mainte-

nance mode by turning the power on while pressing the FORM FEED and

ENTER keys, and reset the fuser counter (see 4.1).
